Comparing apples and snowmachines

“I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities.”

Here Palin makes the error of comparing the job that apparently qualified her to be governor with the  job Obama had just out of college... after which he was editor of the Harvard Law Review, a civil rights lawyer a state senator, and a U.S. Senator.

If we want to compare jobs right out of college, the appropriate comparison would be community organizer vs. part-owner of an unlicensed car-wash.
